Catering Assistant

Contract: Part Time - Perm

Hour: 16 hours per week

Pay: £13.08 per hour weekdays & £13.58 per hour weekends

Shift Times: 9am to 5pm – Weekday and alternative Weekends

Location: Courtlands Close, Watford, WD24 5GW

We are seeking a Catering Assistant to join our welcoming team at Courtland Lodge Care Home in Watford. This is a 60 bed heritage care home is set in a peaceful residential area of North Watford, with welcoming communal spaces, conveniently located within travel distance from Watford Town Centre and benefiting from excellent transport links.

As a Catering Assistant you will support the preparation and serving of nutritious meals, and help create a welcoming dining experience that promotes residents health, wellbeing and dignity.

What You’ll Bring

• A team‑focused attitude and good communication skills
• Experience in food preparation and service preferred, however full training is provided
• Familiarity with hygiene standards
• Reliability and good Customer Service skills
• A positive, caring and compassionate attitude
• Ability to follow Chefs

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Preparation and serving of meals
• Assisting residents with dining needs where required
• Follow high standards of food hygiene and health & safety
• Support the kitchen team with cleaning and washing duties
• Supporting with stock and storage
• Follow any other task requirements from the Chefs
