Catering Assistant

Contract: Part Time - Perm

Hour: 22.5 hours per week

Pay: £13.08 per hour weekdays & £13.58 per hour weekends

Shift Times: 9am to 5pm – Weekday and alternative Weekends

Location: Ermine Close, St Albans, AL3 4LA

We are seeking a Catering Assistant to join our Care Home in St Albans. Fosse House is a 81 bed residential care home offering residential, dementia, respite and day care services, with beautifully landscaped gardens, a vibrant activities programme, and a warm, person-centred environment that helps residents live life to the fullest.

As a Catering Assistant you will support the preparation and serving of nutritious meals, and help create a welcoming dining experience that promotes residents health, wellbeing and dignity.

What You’ll Bring

• A team‑focused attitude and good communication skills
• Experience in food preparation and service preferred, however full training is provided
• Familiarity with hygiene standards
• Reliability and good Customer Service skills
• A positive, caring and compassionate attitude
• Ability to follow Chefs

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Preparation and serving of meals
• Assisting residents with dining needs where required
• Follow high standards of food hygiene and health & safety
• Support the kitchen team with cleaning and washing duties
• Supporting with stock and storage
• Follow any other task requirements from the Chefs
